Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful ancient system that is designed to harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of our willingness to connect with our inner strength.
Combining breath(prana), mudra(hand positions), eye-focus, mantras(chanting), body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purifiy the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.
Kundalini Yoga uplifts the spirit. It is a path for everyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of our times.
All Kundalini classes begin with what’s called “tuning in.” This is done with a chant, recited in a seated position, rub palms together, hands at heart center (prayer pose), eyes closed: Chant, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, translates to “I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within.”
Kundalini Yoga is a complementary therapy intended to be used alongside standard medical treatments — not in place of them. Please consult with your medical caregiver prior to starting any yoga sessions.
